Punjab: Two corona positive nurses appear for exam from isolation ward; CM Amarinder Singh salutes their spirit

Amid coronavirus fear, two women nurses have grabbed headlines for their spirits towards their goal. Despite being tested for coronavirus, two nurses from Patiala’s Rajindra Hospital have requested to appear for their examination from the isolation ward.

Their keenness to appear for the exam has also sought the attention of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday.


Taking to Twitter, Punjab CM saluted the spirit of the two nurses and tweeted, “Salute the spirit of these 2 young nurses from Rajindra Hospital, Patiala who tested positive for Covid-19. This, however, did not dishearten them and the Government agreed to their request to appear for their exam from the isolation facility itself.”

 

As per the latest report, Punjab has recorded 4,235 number of COVID-19 cases in the state with 101 deaths.

Around 2,825 people have recovered from the deadly virus while 21,300 people have been quarantined.

Meanwhile in India, the total positive cases for the novel Coronavirus are 4,40,215. While the death toll went up to 14,011 as COVID claimed 312 lives in 24 hours.
