NEET SS (Super Speciality) exam on 10 June

On Wednesday, the Health Ministry stated that National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Super Specialty (SS) courses will be held on 10 June, 2017 in various cities across the country.

"The examination being conducted by the National Board of Examinations, shall be held as a computer-based test and shall comprise of 200 multiple choice questions from the MD/MS curriculum followed at medical colleges in India duly prescribed /adopted by Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Health Ministry," stated the ministry.

NEET-SS is a single window entrance examination for entry to DM/MCh/PDCC courses, further informed the ministry.

"No other examination either at state level or institutional level entrance examination conducted by any University /medical colleges /institutions shall be valid as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, with effect from 2017 admission session," the added statement.

NEET SS will be a computer-based exam. The test consists of 200 multiple choice questions from MD or MS syllabus followed at medical colleges in India duly prescribed or adopted by Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Union Health Ministry.
