IBPS Recruitment 2019: New vacancies released for over 4000 posts; here’s how to apply

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released its other largest recruitment on its official website. 4,336 vacancies will be filled for the posts of Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainee (MT).

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the posts at ibps.in.


The application process for the vacancies will commence from August 7, 2019. The last date to apply for the vacancies is August 28, 2019. IBPS released the job notification on August 3, 2019, for the posts of PO and MT across various banks.

Under this recruitment drive, candidates who will qualify the exam will be posted in Oriental Bank of Commerce, Allahabad Bank, Bank of India, UCO Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, Canara Bank, Indian Bank, United Bank of India and Corporation Bank.
IBPS PO, MT Exam Details:

The exam for the recruitment of Probationary Officers and Management Trainee will be held in two phases- IBPS preliminary online exam and IBPS mains exam 2019.

As per the notification, the prelims exam for the posts will be held from October 12 and will conclude on October 20, 2019. Candidates who will qualify the prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the mains exam that is scheduled to November 30. The shortlisted candidates in IBPS Mains will have to appear for the common interview.

IBPS PO Prelims Online Exam Pattern: The prelims exam will be divided into three sections- English, quantitative aptitude and reasoning ability.

  • Exam duration: One hour
  • Total marks: 100 marks
  • Number of questions: 100

There will be 30 questions from English (one mark each) and 70 questions for quantitative aptitude and reasoning ability (one mark each).

It is mandatory to qualify in each of the three sections to score the minimum cut-off marks. To fill 4,336 posts, IBPS is likely to shortlist an adequate number of candidates in each category for its main examination.

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS 2019:

It is required that a candidate should hold a graduation degree from a recognized university. Also, the minimum age limit to apply for the posts is 20 years while the maximum age limit is 30 years.

Application Fee:

  • For general category: Rs 600 
  • For SC/ST//PWBD: Rs 100
