DU Admission Cut Off 2018: From courses offered to fees structure, all you need to know about Delhi University application process

Delhi University will go to begin its online registration for the undergraduate programmes on 15th May i.e. today. While for postgraduate and MPhil/PhD courses the application invitations will begin from 18 May and 20 May respectively. According to the university registrar, ‘ all eligible candidates are informed that registration process for all the category courses and quota will be completely done through the online mode only.’ Students can check the complete notification on the official website of Delhi University. Aspirants would be able to register themselves from today.

This time, the two colleges of the varsity i.e. St.Stephen’s College and Jesus and Mary College will have their separate online admission procedure.


All the interested candidates registered themselves for the UG courses offered by DU today at 2 pm. DU aspirants can also choose various programmes in as many colleges of the varsity. Candidates can submit their online application form before the last date of closing of admission procedure and if students unable to fill their form on time then, their forms will be rejected.

It is a dream of every student that he or she would get a chance to study in Delhi University at least once. Therefore, the gates are open for them to study in their dream university. But before applying for any course, you should know some important points before submitting your forms.

Have a look at the important dates for DU Admission 2018:

  • For UG courses: 15th May 2018
  • For Post Graduate courses: 18th May 2018
  • For Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security and Law: 18th May 2018
  • For M.Phil/ PhD programmes: 20th May 2018

Cut-off: The expected date for the cut-off is the third or fourth week of June 2018
The classes will be started from July-end.

However, these dates are tentative, so always cross-check form the official website before trusting any social media news.

Talking about the DU cut-off, as we have seen the cut-off of Delhi University always went high and due to which some students unable to accomplish their dreams. Last year too, the cut-off was 100 percent for some courses in esteemed colleges under the DU. Later, many aspirants were left disappointed as several colleges announced that they had closed admissions for certain courses after the first list. Therefore, after looking at the previous year condition, it might be possible that this year, university seat a lower cut-off for the aspirants.

Fees for UG Courses 2018:

Looking at the last year fees, the application fee for the general and OBC candidates would be Rs 150 and for SC/ST/PWD candidates. While for the sports and ECA category candidates had to pay an application fee of Rs 100.

Arts:

B.A. (Hons.) in Arabic, Bengali, English, French, German, Italian, Hindi, Persian, Philosophy, Psychology, Applied Psychology, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Spanish, and Urdu, and BA (General)

Social Sciences:

B.A. (Hons.) in Economics, Geography, History, Political Sciences, Social Work, and Sociology.

Applied Social Sciences & Humanities:

B.A. (Hons.) in Hindi Patrakarita, Journalism, B.Voc. in Health Care Management, Retail Management & IT, Web Designing, Printing Technology, Banking Operations, Software Development, Advanced Diploma in TV Programme & News Production.

Commerce and Business studies:

Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.)

Science:

Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Anthropology, Bio-Chemistry, Bio-Medical Science, Biological Sciences, Botany, Chemistry, Electronics, Food Technology, Geology, Home Science, Instrumentation, Microbiology, Physics, Polymer Sciences, Zoology, Mathematics (Hons), Statistics (Hons), Computer Science (Hons), Bachelor of Science – Applied Physical Sciences (Analytical Methods in Chemistry and Biochemistry), Applied Physical Sciences (Industrial Chemistry), Applied Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Bachelor of Science (Pass) – Home Science.
