CBSE Board Class 12 Exam Cancelled? Check latest update

CBSE Board Class 12th Exam Update: Students have been demanding the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12th Board exam 2021 due to the surge in COVID-19 cases. However, the board is yet to announce the official update regarding the holding of the CBSE intermediate or CBSE XII board exams 2021.

According to media reports, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will hold a virtual meeting on May 17 with senior officials to discuss over conducting of CBSE Class 12th board exams.

During the meeting, the education minister will also discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the education sector and also discuss the implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP).

Therefore, expectations are being made that Pokhriyal would take the final decision regarding the cancellation of CBSE Class 12th Board Exams 2021 during this meeting.

A close source to Education Ministry told news agency ANI, “Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will meet virtually all state education secretaries on Monday. The top agenda of the meeting will be COVID -19 pandemic and its impact on education, promotion of online education, implementation of the New Education policy and preparation made by states.”

However, CBSE had already cancelled the class 10th board exam 2021 in April in the wake of the rise in Coronavirus cases. While the board had postponed CBSE Class 12th board exams.

Earlier, the board had rejected media reports claiming that CBSE is planning to cancel Class 12th board exams. A ministry official also stated that any decision taken in this matter will be officially communicated to the public.
