A piece of shocking incident took place in Delhi where a 24-year-old woman was sexually harassed by her friend along with his two accomplices in a car.
The woman alleged that her friend was forced to drink a spiked juice near a mall, a police officer said on Tuesday.
The incident took place on Monday night when a passerby saw that a woman was crying for help near a car at Cross River Mall in east Delhi’s Shahdara and then, informed the police.
However, police have arrested the victim’s friend, later identified as Amit (30). ‘ We are investigating the role of Amit’s friends in the crime who are at large,’ Deputy Commissioner of Police Meghna Yadav told IANS.
During the investigation, police found that Amit (businessman) who is a native of Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat and become a friend of the woman through a common friend some two months ago after he promised to get her home at a cheaper rate, said DCP.
As per the statement was given by the victim, the woman was called by Amit for a meeting on Monday near Cross River Mall. During the meeting, Amit was accompanied by two of his friends and then, they gave her juice with sedatives. She alleged that after getting unconscious, they gang-raped her.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case of rape against Amit and interrogating him to identify his two friends.
