Delhi: 2 shootouts within 24 hours

On 23 May, a 60-year-old restaurant owner in Lajpat Nagar was reportedly shot by unknown miscreants.

According to an ANI report, four unidentified people came to the victim's restaurant, Sindhi Dhaba, for dinner in Lajpat Nagar late on Monday night. As they were allegedly leaving without paying the bill, the owner, Vasudeo tried to stop them. At this point, one of the four men shot four rounds at him.

The accused fled the scene by the time the police reached the spot. The victim was then rushed to a hospital.

Another person shot in Chawri Bazar

Hours after the restaurant owner in Lajpat Nagar area was shot at, another person in Huaz Qazi area of North Delhi's Chawri Bazar was shot at by unidentified men.

Mehtab, a resident of Chawri Bazar, was shot at by four men who were reportedly on their bikes.

The perpetrators fled the scene immediately, while the victim was rushed to the hospital

According to an ANI report, the family members have alleged that the accused identified as Rashid, Imran, Bittu and Shahnawaz, had earlier made an attempt to kill Mehtab over property related issues.

No arrests have been made in either of the cases and the police is trying to nab the accused.
