Sunrisers Hyderabad player David Warner gets emotional during his farewell speech after the match at team hotel. Warner played his last Indian Premier League 2019 match yesterday against Kings XI Punjab. Warner was awarded the man of the match trophy for his brilliant 81 off 56 balls.

Warner also posted a heart felt message on Instagram for his team, support staff, players and fans. Warner wrote, “I can not express my gratitude enough to the @sunrisershyd family for your support, not just this season but also for the last year. It’s been a long time waiting but it was great to be back amongst the boys. Owners, support staff, players, social media team and the fans thank you very much for welcoming me back with open arms. I thoroughly enjoyed being back out there swinging that willow. Good luck to the guys for the rest of the tournament and finish on top.”

Warner played 12 matches for Hyderabad this season and scored 692 runs, which is the highest by any batsman this year. Warner takes the orange cap with him for his amazing performance. Warner’s 692 IPL runs is the highest ever since he made his debut in 2009. Warner scored at an average of 69.20 including eight half-centuries and one century.

Warner was banned for ball-tampering last year and did not play in the IPL. Warner made a fairy tale comeback and will look to continue his form to the World Cup. Warner has left for Australia to prepare with the national team ahead of the 50-over tournament.
