Virat Kohli led team India made world record by beating Sri Lanka with 9-0

Team India has wiped out Sri Lanka after defeating them in the whole series of One Day Internationals, Test, and T-20. Team India won the last and only T-20 match against Sri Lanka on 6 September. With this India has made a world record by winning all 9 matches in the entire tour.

The Indian team registered a clean swipe against the host team in all three formats. The team has won Test series by 3-0, ODI series by 5-0, and T-20 series by 1-0. This has happened for the first time in Sri Lankan cricket history when they have not been able to win a single match on any tour.

With this, the Indian team has become the first team in the world to make a clean swipe against a team overseas. Earlier, Australia was the only team which had recorded a clean sweep against Pakistan in 2009-10 by 9-0, but the interesting thing is that they achieved this feat in the home series. That time Australia was the host of the tour, but India has done this in overseas, so it is a big record for the team.
