India's wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik on 20 August tied the knot with squash player Dipika Pallikal in a Telugu-Naidu style wedding ceremony at The Leela Palace in Chennai. The duo, who also hosted a Christian ceremony on 18 August, had planned two wedding ceremonies to enter into a wedlock.
Pallikal, who became the first Indian squash player to break into the top 10 of the World Squash rankings, has been engaged to Karthik since November 15, 2013. Pallikal had met Karthik after he divorced his first wife and childhood friend Nikita who is now married to Indian Test opener Murali Vijay.
