Ravichandran Ashwin’s mankading incident was doing rounds after he dismissed Jos Buttler in that manner. People and their opinions were divided over the issue and not everyone agreed with the kind of dismissal Ashwin did. But not everyone is taking it seriously, some of them are even joking about it.

In a match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab, David Warner took a jibe at Ashwin while he was bowling. The incident took place in 7th over when Ashwin was bowling to Vijay Shankar and David Warner was at non-striker’s end. When Ashwin finished his run-up and reached the crease, David Warner deliberately chose to remind Ashwin that he was inside the crease.

Before Warner, Mumbai Indians’ Krunal Pandya also took a jibe at Ashwin and Kings XI Punjab during a match in Mohali. Krunal was bowling at KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal was at the non-striker’s end. Krunal finished his run-up and saw Agarwal leaving the crease. Krunal stopped and acted as if he was going to remove the bails but to everyone’s surprise he stopped just to give a warning to Agarwal. Ashwin was sitting at dug-out and he too couldn’t control his laughter.

As far as yesterday’s match is concerned, Kings XI Punjab beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 6 wickets. David Warner’s 71 run knock went in vain as Punjab chased it down in a nail-biting last over thriller. KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal’s 100 run-partnership was the crucial moment in the game as Punjab finished the game when just 1 ball was remaining.

Punjab now sits at number three on the points table, while Hyderabad came down to number four. Punjab have eight points to their name from six matches, while Hyderabad have six points from six matches.
