Former Australia spinner Shane Warne revealed the names of four teams that can progress ahead of the group stage and he also revealed the ultimate winner of the Indian Premier League season 12. According to Warne, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals.

Interestingly, he left out Mumbai Indians, one of the most successful teams in the league and Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have won the title, finished second and made to the playoffs in the last three seasons.
