Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently appointed its new head coach for the national cricket team. Misbah-ul-Haq replaced Mickey Arthur to become the new head coach of Pakistan cricket team. After his appointment, Misbah-ul-Haq changed the diet plan of the team after taking note of the deteriorating fitness standards.

Misbah-ul-Haq has changed the diet plans for the players in the national camp and the domestic tournaments. Misbah reportedly said that players will not be having biryani or oil rich red meat meals or sweet dishes.

“According to reports Misbah-ul-Haq has changed the diet and nutrition plans for players in the domestic tournaments and in the national camp - no more biryani or oil-rich red meat meals or sweet dishes for the players now,” tweeted Pakistan journalist Saj Sadiq.

Pakistan cricket team faced a lot of flak after they were spotted eating pizza and burger a day before the much anticipated World Cup match against India. Pakistan lost the match to India and fans immediately started blaming their eating habit and also compared them to their Indian counterparts who were looking more fit on the field.

The first assignment of Misbah-ul-Haq will be the upcoming three ODI and three T20I home series against Sri Lanka, which will be played from September 27 to October 9.
