Rajasthan Royals won the thrilling match played against Mumbai Indians.

The match started with Mumbai putting a great start and starting their innings well. Surya Kumar Yadav started well and played a well balanced 72 run innings off just 47 deliveries. However, Evin Lewis went down for a duck but was compensated by Jos Butler’s performance who added crucial 58 runs to the board.

But the game started taking turn after the strategic time out, after the first 10 overs, Mumbai were looking strong with their batting with Rohit Sharma yet to bat. There were speculations that MI will take the scoreboard beyond a score of 200 runs but then came the surprise called Jofra Archer who took three wickets in form of  Hardik Pandya’s, Krunal’s and Mitchell’s. Before these three wickets, Mumbai lost their most precious player Rohit Sharma, who fell on his very first ball trying to steal a run but was caught between the wickets by Rahane’s razor sharp fielding skills.

Mumbai Indians ended up giving Rajasthan a decent target of 168 runs to accomplish.

Rajasthan Royals started slow but steady. Sanju Samson took his time and went on to add 52 runs to Rajasthan’s innings. He also overtook Virat Kohli as the highest run-getter this season winning the orange cap. He was accompanied by Ben Stokes who hit 42 runs was clean bowled by Hardik Pandya on one of his toe-breaking Yorkers.

Then, came one of the deadliest overs of the IPL ever bowled from Jasprit Burah who took away with him Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson in a single over.  There came a time when the game started shifting to each of the team within matter of minutes. The otherwise low-scoring game was one of the most thrilling ones ever played.

Krishnappa Gautham played one of the most phenomenal innings of IPL 11 by adding 33 runs to the board in just 11 balls. It was him who steered Royals to the victory. Also, the winning six came from his bat.
