IPL 2018: Delhi Daredevils CEO finally speaks out on Delhi's elimination and poor performance; here's what he said

Delhi Daredevils have become the first team to get eliminated from the Indian Premier League. After their dismal start in this initial matches, the Daredevils could not get themselves in the upper half of the points table standings.


The team went on to change their leader, Gautam Gambhir, after losing the first 6 matches. Shreyas Iyer was given the command after Gambhir and the DD won some of their matches thereafter. However, the team could not turn the tide in their favour.

The CEO of the team has now come out in open and expressed his disappointment with the team's early oust from the league.

In a series of tweets, the CEO of the team said: "It's been another tough year and yes we have failed again in front of you #DD fans! I have read all your tweets and we are as disappointed as you all are! I know you might not believe but that's the truth."

"We all want to win and no one wants it more desperately than all of us here at @DelhiDaredevils ... we have hired the best coaches and bought players which are the best and most of you agreed post auction," he added.

Dua also added that having a number of youngsters in the team will help them in the long run.

"But what we have is a great nucleus of youngsters in @RishabPant777 @PrithviShaw #Abhisekh #Shreyas @IamSandeep25 #Manjot #Avesh #Sayan #Tewatia #Jayant and #Harshal with strong internationals next year we can do well! #DilDilli #ThankYou for #Support," concluded Dua.
