IPL 2018: CSK fans hurled shoe at Sir Jadeja and Du Plessis, What Jadeja did next will melt your heart

IPL 11 is on and the excitement around the tournament is at an all-time high. However, the match played on April 11 saw something bitter happening on the ground that was not at all in the spirit of the game. The match played between Chennai and Kolkata was the among the most sought-after matches for the two happen to be the strongest teams this IPL.


Chennai won the competitive match however, there was something disturbing that happened in after the match. Shoes were hurled at Faf Du Plessis after the match was over by CSK fans. The incident in M.A. Chidambaram hurt the players a lot. Moreover, there were also shoes thrown at Jadeja. However, Sir Ravindra Jadeja won the hearts of his fans after what he wrote on his Twitter account. Jadeja shared a photo of the incident and wrote that he still loved CSK fans.

 

The reason behind this incident was the Cauvery river issue and the unrest hence going on in Tamil Nadu because of it. Tamil organizations have been resisting the IPL matches being played in Chennai. There have been warnings from these groups regarding the IPL matches. There has been a lot of criticism of the Modi government regarding his inability to resolve the Cauvery water distribution matter.

However, all the matches scheduled in Chennai now stand cancelled. The Chairman of the IPL Rajiv Shukla has announced that all the coming matches scheduled to be played in Chennai will now be played in Pune as Tamil Nadu Police has expressed its inability to ensure the required safety to the game and players.
