Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Banglore clashed yesterday as Mumbai registered their first win in the Indian Premier League against the Virat army. The match played yesterday was a special one in many ways. Notably, both the skippers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma played exceptional innings for their respective teams.
Mumbai, batting first, put a challenging target of 214 runs for Royal Challengers Banglore and Virat's team could not score more than 167 at the end of 20 overs. However, RCB won its last match and Anushka Sharma was present last time. Even this time, Virat's lady luck was present in Mumbai but was busy in shooting for her upcoming film 'Zero'.
Virat has been able to concede only one match so far against Kings XI Punjab and that match was interestingly attended by Anushka Sharma. Keeping this in view, fans took to Twitter and suggested to get Anushka to the ground in order to win matches.
Virat played an exceptional innings hitting 92 runs off 62 balls and hit 7 fours along with 4 sixes. However, Rohit Sharma hit 94 runs along with Evin Lewis' 65 runs. Rohit took just 52 balls in his innings and hit 10 fours along with 5 long sixes.
