#IndvsAus: India pin down Australian batting in 1st innings, hope to avoid whitewash

India won the toss and elected to field in the 5th and final ODI of the series in Sydney, as they look to avoid a 5-0 whitewash in the series.

India had been unsuccessful in defending a total in the first three ODI's, and have since opted to field in the last two matches after winning the toss.

So far all four Indian bowlers - Ishant Sharma, Jaspreet Bumrah, Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Rishi Dhawan have picked up wickets.

Ishant Sharma trapped Aaron Finch before the stumps with an in-swinging delivery in the very first over to give India the upper hand.

But the Indians had to wait 11 more overs to get the second breakthrough - Steven Smith caught of the bowling of Jaspreet Bumrah. Rishi Dhawan took the important wicket of George Bailey next, and Shaun Marsh was run out in the 21st over.

Mitchell Marsh and the dangerous David Warner are currently at the crease for Australia, stitching together a neat partnership as Australia look to post a challenging total for the Indians to chase.
