Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen and Indian skipper Virat Kohli were involved in a hilarious exchange on Twitter and took the world by storm. On Thursday Virat Kohli posted a picture of himself and captioned it, “basking in the sun”, Kevin Pietersen was quick to reply on Kohli’s picture.

The South-African born cricketer noted that Virat Kohli was more in the shade that in the sun and commented, “looks a bit like you’re more in the shade, bro!”, to which the 30-year-old replied, “Well in that case you should've seen my first caption. Much worse. PS - the face is still in the sun”.

Pietersen then let go off Kohli and threw one last salvo and replied, “I’ll let you off cos I love you!”. Kohli is currently in New Zealand with the Indian squad for a five-match ODI series and a three-match T20I series. The Indian captain has been rested for the last two ODIs and T20Is and vice-captain Rohit Sharma will take charge in Kohli’s absence.

India won the first one-day internationals at Napier by 8 wickets with Shikhar Dhawan making 75 runs not out and Virat Kohi 45 runs got the job done for India. Kuldeep Yadav registered a bowling figure of 4/39.
