Pakistan legend Javed Miandad has said that Pakistan cricket team needs to put togeather a gameplan if the want to defeat New Zealand at the World Cup on Wednesday.

Pointing out New Zealand’s unbeaten streak at the World Cup, Javed Miandad has urged Pakistan skipper Sarfarz Ahmed to form a gameplan along with other senior member of the team.

In order to keep their semi final hopes alive, Pakistan needs to put this game in their bag. So far in the World Cup 2019, Pakistan has won just two out of their six fixtures.

Although it will be an uphill task for the men in green, espicially as the Kiwis have won five out of their six games, their clash with India was abandoned due to rain.

“After forming a gameplan, we must utilize it on the field by involving ourselves in excessive training, as the more you practice [you do], the better you get,” Miandad was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder. “We must also keep an eye on the points table as at the end, net run rate and averages of wickets [will] matter a lot for the semi-final qualification if teams [have the same number of points],” Miandad said.

Pakistan will face NewZealand this afternoon at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
