ICC U19 World Cup: Pakistani former speedster trolled on Twitter for praising Prithvi Shaw & Co.

Pakistan's former fast bowler Waqar Younis has extended his congratulatory message to the Indian Under-19 team on winning the World Cup. In the final, the Indian team defeated Australia by 8 wickets and won the World Cup for the fourth time. Prithvi Shaw & Co. are getting congratulatory messages from all over the world. On the social media, giant players, leaders, or actors are fondly praising the performance of every Indian Under-19 player. Former fast bowler Waqar Younis also congratulated the Indian team, writing, “Congratulations team India for putting up a great show..You guys are the true Champions of the tournament..I can see couple of future Stars in that blue outfit. #ICCU19WorldCup @BCCI.”

But people in Pakistan are not happy with the message of Younis and they began backlash him on social media. A Twitter user wrote, “Indeed Indian team Played very well but you can not forgot Pakistani team which reached to semi-final.”

Earlier, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli also praised the under-19 players after winning. After the victory, the Indian Cricket Board has announced a cash of Rs 30 lakh each to every player of the Under-19 team, while coach Rahul Dravid will get Rs 50 lakh. Manjot Kalra was Man of the Match in the final match, he played an important role in India's victory by scoring an unbeaten 101.
