Brian Lara admitted to hospital after chest pain

West Indies legend Brian Lara has been admitted to Global hospital in Parel after he complained of chest pain. Lara is currently in India as a cricket pundit for a sports network for the World Cup 2019.

Lara, who turned 50 on may 2, is one of the greatest batsmen of all time. He holds the record of highest individual score, an unbeaten 510 and is the only batsman to score 400 in a Test match.


Lara has played 131 Tests and 299 ODI’s for the Windies from 1990-2007.

In 131 Tests, Lara has 11,953 runs to his name, with 34 hundreds and 48 fifties. IN 299 ODI’s Lara has 10,405 runs with 19 centuries and 63 half centuries.

Lara throughly dominated the batting charts in the 1990s. In 31 Tests against the Aussies, Brian Lara has 2856 runs to his ranks, with 9 hundreds and 11 fifties
