Australia’s official kit manufacturer, ASICS revealed their new kit for 2019 World Cup. The new uniform is yellow in colour and has green stripes. The uniform is similar to the one they wore against India in February.

The retro kit was chosen as their World Cup uniform after a Twitter poll concluded that the 1999 World Cup kit was more popular among the fans.

Australia are the defending champions as they won the 2015 World Cup that was held in New Zealand and Australia. Australia are the most successful team in the history of World Cup as they have won the trophy five times. (1987, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2015)

The team is high on confidence as they won two back to back ODI series against India and Pakistan. They defeated India by 3-2 and whitewashed Pakistan by 5-0.

Australia will take on Sri Lanka and England in their warm-up fixture before the World Cup. Australia’s first World Cup match is against the underdogs Afghanistan on June 1.
