Anurag Thakur unanimously elected as BCCI President

Anurag Thakur, 41, has been unanimously elected to be the second-youngest president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on 22 May. The youngest president was Fateh Singh Gaekwad, 33-year-old.

Thakur has replaced Shashank Manohar who quit the president's position to head the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Thakur has nominated business magnate Ajay Shirke for the Secretary post.
