15 players have hit IPL centuries; Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar joins Paul Valthaty among others

Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli smashed his fifth century in an Indian Premier League match last night. 34 players have hit IPL centuries so far out of which 15 are Indians. Brendon McCullum was the first player to hit IPL century, while Manish Pandey was the first Indian to do it.

Since then, IPL has seen many centuries and most of them were wonderful. The elite list of Indian players include Virender Sehwag, Murali Vijay, Sanju Samson, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Yusuf Pathan, Ambati Rayudu, Sachin Tendulkar, KL Rahul, Wriddhiman Saha, Rishabh Pant, Paul Valthaty.


The latest Indian to join the list is KL Rahul, while Jonny Bairstow is the most recent foreign player to feature in the list.

Caribbean superstar Chris Gayle have the most number of centuries as he has six to his name. Gayle also holds the record for the highest individual score of 175 not-out.

Virat Kohli’s century helped his team register their second victory of the season as they beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 10 runs. Moeen Ali’s 28-ball 66 also played a crucial part in RCB’s victory. Meanwhile, Andre Russell and Nitish Rana on the other side played beautifully but couldn’t take their team to finishing lines.

The current point table depicts RCB at the bottom of the points table, while KKR is at number six. Chennai Super Kings sits comfortably at the top of the table with 14 points to their name. RCB will meet Chennai in their next match on April 21 at Bengaluru.
