Vishal Sikka quits as Infosys CEO, MD, company's share falls by 6%

The Indian-American CEO and MD of Infosys, Vishal Sikka has resigned as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of global software major Infosys Ltd, the company announced on 18 August.
“The Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Vishal Sikka as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect at its meeting held on Friday,” said the IT major in a statement here quoted by IANS.
Acording to the news reports, U B Pravin Rao has been appointed as the interim MD and CEO of Infosys.
Post his decision, Sikka posted his resignation letter on his verified Twitter handle.
