Zee Cine Awards 2016: Shahid Kapoor, Karan Johar to host; Anil Kapoor's performance to be highlight
It is award season in Bollywood and all your favourite celebrities are busy putting together their next red carpet look. Next up is the glitzy Zee Cine Awards 2016.
Actor Shahid Kapoor and filmmaker Karan Johar have been roped-in to host the ceremony. In a press conference held for the show, Shahid announced the news:
The Shaandaar actor also dropped a few hints about the language he would use while on stage."I am hosting this show with Karan Johar who is not here.. he is in New York. I am very excited to host this award show.

"As far as the language is concerned, I am personally not very comfortable using vulgar words. We will not use vulgar words and I understand one should be sensitive towards others and few things should be filtered.The night will see a number of performances by the likes of Sonakshi Sinha, Kriti Sanon, Sushant Singh Rajput and Anil Kapoor, among others.Few people likes to be humorous openly, some people don't find it comfortable so it is difficult to draw the line. I think we have the right censor board and they will not telecast any wrong things. At Zee Cine Awards, we will be using nice and sweet words."
Anil Kapoor, who will be performing live after what seems like ages, spoke to the media about his performance. He said:
"I am performing after a very long time. One should keep working and enjoy what he does... for me that's the reason of my looks because I enjoy my work and I am looking forward to perform.
I am excited, nervous and anxious about my performance. This will be a good cardio as I will start rehearsing and this was my first condition that I should star rehearsing as soon as possible. That will help me exercise and sweat it out."

Host Shahid Kapoor couldn't seem to contain his excitement for Kapoor's performance. He said:"I am very happy that I am hosting Zee Cine awards but more than that I am very excited that after many years Anil Kapoor is going to perform... I am excited to see him perform.
"I also told him if possible, please engage me in your performance. He is a legendary performer, we all know about his superstardom and I am super excited about his performance."
The awards will be held on 20 February in Mumbai and will be telecast on 5 March - simultaneously on Zee Cinema, Zee Cinema HD, Zee Anmol and Zee Tamizh.
