Salman Khan is currently gearing up for the release of Sultan. The superstar has a busy few months ahead, as he is expected to start shooting for Kabir Khan's Tubelight from 20 July. Major portions of the film - which is believed to be an Indo-Chinese project - will be wrapped up by end-2016.
After he wraps up shooting for Tubelight, Salman will commence work on Rajkumar Santoshi's next, which is touted to be an action comedy on the lines of Khan's 2011 blockbuster, Ready. According to reports, Santoshi - who is known for comedies like Andaz Apna Apna, Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani and action entertainers like Khakhee, Ghayal and Ghatak - is in advanced talks with Katrina Kaif for the female lead for the film. However, the actress has not officially signed on yet.
Katrina and Salman Khan have not shared screen space since Ek Tha Tiger in 2012.
The untitled project will be produced by Salman Khan's brother-in-law, Atul Agnihotri, and will go on floors early next year. The makers are eyeing a Christmas 2017 release for the film.
