Ranveer, Deepika and Priyanka's Bajirao Mastani trailer has surprised us and how

The Bajirao Mastani trailer has come out as a huge surprise to those who expected a trailer of a slow period drama from Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The trailer of Bajirao Mastani catches your interest right from the first frame. No, not for the visuals alone. SLB has really managed to project female empowerment through the scene that shows both Bajirao and Mastani riding their horses into war, ready for combat.

Following the spectacular first sequence comes a visual treat; you cannot take your eyes off the grand palaces, sets and costumes of the female leads, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.

Another point which deserves a special mention is the background score of the trailer; it is hard hitting and manages to recreate a 1700's aura. The dialogues are gritty in the trailer and hopefully, there will be many such dialogues in the film.

It was always going to be difficult for Bajirao Mastani to stand tall against the bar set by Baahubali in terms of scale and to our surprise, the film manages to do so in style.

Though the trailer looks promising on the small screen, after having watched it on a big screen, I can say that watching it on a big screen is something else.
