Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma’s film to release one week in advance

Varun and Anushka’s film will not release on Gandhi Jayanti

 Yashraj film announced their next project Sui Dhaaga with Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma. The film is directed by Dum Laga Ke Haisha director Sharad Kataria and is co-produced by Maneesh Sharma. The official release stated that the makers are planning to start shooting in January 2018 and release it on Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) next year. Later it was revealed that the film will in fact release one week in advance as Gandhi Jayanti falls on Tuesday and makers wanted to release it on previous Friday to aim for holiday weekend.

 Incidentally Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer untitled film, which is based on lady don Sapnadidi, has booked its release date as October 2. The film is directed by Honey Trehan and is produced by Vishal Bhardwaj. The makers are yet to begin shoot but have recently declare their release date.

 So if Varun and Anushka’s film releases on September 28, then they will get only five days a week and Deepika and Irrfan’s film will end up clashing with them at box office.
