Actor Manoj Bajpai is currently gearing up for the release of Traffic, directed by the late Rajesh Pillai.

The film, which is the official remake of the Malayalam superhit film of the same name, looks like it has all the commercial elements of a bollywood film.

Speaking about the benefits of having mainstream elements in Traffic, Manoj Bajpai said, "A good story is a good story whether is comes in the form of niche or mainstream. A creative person's endeavour should be to look for the right role and great story. Yes, you are right that Traffic has got a mainstream treatment but it is based on a true story. It has all the elements for mainstream cinema and I will be very happy if all the families go to watch the film and enjoy the ride."

Bajpai has been talking about Traffic for a year-and-a-half. The actor revealed that he was excited about the film for two reasons in particular.

"Traffic has all mainstream elements and it will reach wider audiences. I am excited that this film is releasing because it is the vision of a director who just passed away. I know that somewhere up there, he must be very happy about that," said Manoj.
