Varun Dhawan, who was last seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Kirti Sanon in the 2015 film Dilwale, is currently busy shooting for upcoming action entertainer, Dishoom.
The film, directed by Rohit Dhawan, also stars John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez. Once he wraps up Dishoom, Varun is expected to start shooting for his father, David Dhawan's directorial Judwaa 2.
The film is a sequel to the Salman Khan's 1997 comic caper, Judwaa.
When asked about the project at the recently-concluded Times of India Film Awards, Varun said:
"It's too early to talk about Judwaa 2. Dishoom is coming out. There is another surprise coming out soon."
Judwaa 2 will see Varun essaying a double role for the first time in his acting career. The film will be his second outing with father, David Dhawan - after the well-received Main Tera Hero - opposite Nargis Fakrhi and Ileana D'Cruz.
Judwaa 2 is slated to go on floors in July 2016 and the makers are eyeing 2017 release. The female lead(s) of the film have not been announced yet.
