Toilet: Ek Prem Katha: Is this Akshay Kumar film about women sanitation?

After Rustom, Neeraj Pandey is set to produce another film with Akshay Kumar in lead. The film in question is Toilet: Ek Prem Katha which is an ode to PM Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.

Directed by Siddharth and Garima, the focus of the film will be on the sanitation issues of women in India and Akshay Kumar will be one of the leaders to bring about a revolution. The movie is expected to go on floors in November this year.

Khiladi will wrap up the shooting in one marathon schedule and the makers are looking for a mid-2016 release. Like all other Akshay Kumar films, this one too will be a moderately budgeted film as the makers are well aware about the limited appeal.

The screenplay is currently being finalized and the female lead of the film will be announce post Diwali 2016.
