Thalaivi First Poster Out: Kangana Ranaut wears Jayalalitha's soft smile, prosthetic make-up does the magic

Kangana Ranaut’s most anticipated film Thalaivi based on late veteran politician Jayalalitha is hitting the headlines as the makers have released the first look of the actress. Rangoli Chandel took to her Twitter handle to reveal the look and captioned the image as, “The legend we know, but the story that is yet to be told! Presenting #KanganaRanaut, in & as #Thalaivi. A film by #Vijay, arriving in cinemas on 26th June, 2020”

In the poster, Kangana can be seen clad in dark green cape paired with a bottom and completed her look with a small bindi on her forehead. By looking at the poster we can say that the actress nailed the look with the soft smile and prosthetic make-up. In the poster, makers have also given the glimpse of the former politician as a young actress of the South Industry.

Along with the poster, Rangoli has also announced the release date of the biopic that is on 26th June 2020.

 

For the role, Kangana is leaving no stones unturned to step into the shoe of a powerful politician. As per the reports, the actress had been learning Bharatanatyam and is also busy polishing her Tamil. Also, Kangana recently travelled to Los Angeles for her look test. Jason Collins, who has worked on Captain Marvel, has been roped in as the prosthetic artist for the film, as per Pinkvilla.

Thalaivi will be a multilingual film helmed by Vijay and produced by Shaailesh R Singh, Vishnu Vardhan Induri. The film is slated to release next year i.e 26th June 2020.
