Here's how we think Sunny Deol's Ghayal Once Again will perform at the Box Office

Sunny Deol is back as Ajay Mehra in Ghayal Once Again, 25 years after he first played the muscled man in the 1990 film, Ghayal. In Ghayal Once Again, Ajay Mehra finds himself fighting the system once again. The film also stars Shivam Patil, Aanchal Munjal and Rishabh Aroa in pivotal roles.

What may work for the film

The story of Ghayal Once Again has all the elements of a typical Bollywood revenge drama. The action sequences by Dan Bradley are well choreographed and performed to perfection by Sunny Deol. The rich production values and the engaging plot of the first half will wow audiences.

The sequences that have been recreated using VFX, are well executed.

What may not work for the film

Despite having a decent plot, Ghayal Once Again fails in terms of execution. The screenplay drags at many parts - especially in the second half.

While the original Ghayal was all about 'Sunny Deol - The Angry Young Man', this time around, the story focuses on Sunny Deol's emotional journey - something that may put off many viewers.

Unlike Ghayal, this film has rather forgettable dialogues - which may come as a dissapointment to those flocking to watch the film to savour some of Sunny's trademark dialogue-delivery.

Will it do well at the ticket window?

Ghayal Once Again will appeal to the masses. However, the viewers may find themselves underwhelmed as this is not the Sunny Deol they know and love.

There are some moments, especially the action sequences that will make people cheer for Sunny. However, these sequences are far and few in between.

The film is bound to open well at strong Sunny Deol belts like Punjab and Central India. The movie reviews are expected to be mixed, and will lean towards the negative side of things.

Box Office Prediction for Ghayal Once Again:

  • Opening Day Collections (5 February): Rs 6.25 crore
  • Weekend Collections (6-7 February): Rs 18 crore
  • Lifetime Collections: Rs 40 crore
