Single no more! Neil Nitin Mukesh gets enganged to Rukmini Sahay in Mumbai

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh and aviation industry professional Rukmini Sahay celebrated their engagement in Mumbai on Dussehra day, 11 October. The engagement ceremony, held at a Juhu hotel, was attended by family and friends of the couple.

The two, who are family friends, are expected to tie the knot early next year. They have been courting for about a month.

For the ceremony, the 34-year-old actor was seen sporting a black sherwani, while Rukmini, 27, donned a pink and blue heavily-embellished lehenga. A simple gajra enhanced her look.

In a statement, Neil's father Nitin Mukesh said that the family is "ecstatic" about the engagement. He said:

"Neil is quite old school in his ways and is a firm believer in the traditional school of thought when it comes to the sacred institution of marriage. He left the decision of finding his soulmate in his parents' trusted hands and there couldn't have been a better match for him than Rukmini".

He said the bride-to-be has "already won the hearts" of the Mukesh family "with her simplicity and upbringing".

"She reflects the values and traditions that Neil has been raised with and compliments him in every way possible. The celebrations to the final countdown have already begun," Nitin Mukesh added.
