Actress Shradha Kapoor who is right now shooting for her upcoming biopic on Dawood Ibrahim's sister Haseena Parker talks about her favourite women characters in Indian Cinema.

First comes her aunt, Padmini Kolhapure's role in 'Prem Rog', the actress feels that the sensitive portrayal of her character inspired her. "Sridevi in ‘Chaalbaaz’, Vetran actress Waheeda Rehman in ‘Pyaasa’, Madhuri Dixit from ‘Hum Aapke Hai Koun’, Karisma Kapoor from ‘Judwaa’, these characters have stayed with me over the years and motivated me to choose varied roles.”

Speaking about the strong women characters from recent times; Kareena Kapoor in ‘Jab We Met’, Kangna Ranaut in ‘Queen’, Priyanka Chopra in ‘Aitraaz’, and Tanvi Azmi in ‘Bajirao Mastani.’ The actress feels these characters were not just well written but made a lasting impression on viewers by their performances.
