Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is known for making romantic and emotional films and he has given many family films to the audience. Now it looks like that the director has decided to make a biopic. This is going to be the first time when Karan Johar is making anyone's biopic.
According to the latest developments, Karan Johar is all set to make a biopic on flight lieutenant Gunjan Saxena and this is going to be women-oriented biopic film. Now, who will be leading lady, then there is no question as Alia Bhatt is always his first preference.
Talking about flight lieutenant Gunjan Saxena, she is India's first woman combat aviator and according to the reports, Dharma productions have acquired the rights to her biopic film. The film is all set to go on floors next year.
However, the official confirmation has not come out yet but still many are saying that Alia Bhatt could pull off this character very well from the Dharma camp. Gujan Saxena with her companion flight lieutenant Srividya Rajan was the first woman of India Air Force to fly choppers for the evacuation of injured soldiers during Kargil War 1999.
Later Gunjan was awarded the Shaurya Chakra and she was also one of the first 25 IAF trainee Pilots batch, however, that is a different story. The director is still not finalized but it is being said that Karan is planning to make this film in the same flavour like Sonam Kapoor's Neerja. Neerja was a great hit at the box office.
