Ae Dil Hai Mushkil raked in around Rs 9.20 crore on its third day, taking the opening weekend total to Rs 35 crore.

The Karan Johar directorial fared best in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune and Bengalur. However, there was a substantial fall in collections on Sunday all across due to Diwali Puja.

While the film was unaffected by the pre-Diwali lull on its opening day owing to the appeal at the metros, the impact of pre-Diwali phase was evident on Sunday. The drop in collections on Sunday is not at all alarming as it was expected.

A good jump in collections is expected today. However, it will be interesting to see if it manages to breach past the Rs 15 crore mark at the Box Office.

Day Wise Box Office Collections:

  • Friday: Rs 13.30 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 13.10
  • Sunday: Rs 9.20 crore
  • Total: Rs 35.60 crore

Given the humongous non-theatrical revenue, the film is already a safe venture for producers. Keeping the economics aside, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a big film with big star-cast and it needs at-least Rs 100 crore at tthe domestic Box Office to emerge a hit.

While the critics' reviews are pretty much on the positive side, the jump in collections today will give an insight about the audience word-of-mouth.
