The film is an official remake of Korean film, An Ode To My Father, and the film is all about machoism, action, antics and all the necessary elements of a commercial entertainer. While talking about the star cast, then besides Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, other actors like Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Grover, Tabu, have played leading roles.

Bharat is slated to release on Eid 2019, and it will be his back to back the third film with director Ali Abbas Zafar. With Ali, he earlier had made films like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Even it is also Ali's third collaboration with Katrina Kaif, with whom she had worked in Tiger Zinda Hai and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.
