Raees vs Sultan Box Office clash: Has the Shah Rukh Khan film been postponed to 2017?

The Box Office clash between Salman Khan's Sultan and Shah Rukh Khan's Raees has been making news for a while now. 

According to the latest reports, the release of Raees has been postponed by seven months and will now release in 2017. 

While the official confirmation is expected in two weeks, a source close to the development said,

 "We are looking for a suitable release date for Raees, however the thought of releasing the film in 2017 has not even crossed our mind. We are looking for a two week clear window in 2016 and figuring out various other things. Expect an official statement from the producers in next 2 weeks".

The source also confirmed that Raees still some shooting left. "The shooting of Raees was wrapped up recently in Mumbai. We had recreated a bar from Gujarat costing around Rs 2 crore at a studio in Mumbai. It was a 20-day schedule and an action scene was shot at the bar.

A little patch work is still left and we are expecting to finish the shoot by the end of this week," the source said.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan.
