Parineeti Chopra is back in a race after replacing Shraddha Kapoor in the upcoming biopic on badminton player Saina Nehwal. Not just this she is also set to star in a remake of ‘The Girl On The Train!’ in this, she will be essaying the role of Emily Blunt’s character a crime investigator also a divorcee who is addicted to alcohol.
The movie is based on Paula Hawkins popular book The Girl On The Train which was also made in Hollywood by Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks Pictures. In Bollywood Ribhu Dasgupta will be directing the film. The film will keep the audience intrigued to their seats as it will have all elements from drama to suspense to crime, everything is there to make one eager for this film.
Parineeti who has aced the role of the chubby, bubbly girl in his past films will be challenging for her to do this role as it involves bit serious and intense look. This thriller film will be produced by Reliance Entertainment who procured the rights of the book meanwhile the whole story will be having an Indian touch.
The film is yet to come out with the title, when asked Parineeti about this she sounded excited and said that she wants to do those roles which audience have not yet seen. So just to enter into a different genre she accepted the movie and also accepted the challenge to do it. When asked director Ribhu what made him select Parineeti for this role to which he said that the character is dark, edgy, gritty and emotional and Parineeti fells in it quite well as she is a sincere actor.
According to a source, the film will soon go on floors in July and might end there shooting by September. The film which is based in the UK will hit the theatres next year i.e in 2020, the date is yet to be decided.
