Not Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, this actor becomes the most popular on Twitter
The year 2017 was undoubtedly ruled by the South Indian industry with films like Baahubali 2: The Conclusion that broke all records at the box office as it crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark, globally. The industry not just did ruled on the industry but also on the micro blogging website Twitter. In terms of popularity, South actor Sivakumar has beaten popular Bollywood actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
Twitter, recently announced a report about the moments that were the most influential and the Golden Tweet of the year 2017. The Golden Tweet of 2017 belonged to Suriya Sivakumar. When the actor shared the second poster of his film ‘Thaana Serndha Kootam’, it got as many as 113,154 likes and 70,879 retweets.

He has beaten the likes of Bollywood actors who have great fan following such as Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. However, Salman's movie ‘Tubelight’ was one of the most popular and talked about films of the year. His poster receieved 40,870 likes and 10,000 retweets.
Talking about the hashtags that are used on the Twitter, ‘Mersal’ and ‘Baahubali 2’ were the most talked about in this year. Mersal starred Thalapathy Vijay and received as many as 1.7 million tweets.
‘Baahubali 2’ was also one of those words on which a lot of #hashtags were used. It is one of the most grossing films of the year. Mersal too is one of a Tamil film that has earned Rs 250 crore at the box-office.
