Nayak 2 to be made soon

It is reported that the sequel of Nayak (the 2011 film) will soon have a sequel. The story of Nayak, which had Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee in the lead is said to be now continued in the sequel. The cast for the sequel, we hear, has not been finalised yet but the script for the same is written by K.V. Vijendra Prasad. Prasad is known for his work in Bahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The film is expected to go on floors this year and is being produced by Eros International. The producers are looking at a 2018 release.

The original Nayak was directed by acclaimed director from south, Shankar. But looks like he wouldn't be directing the sequel. Though Nayak had not really made great business at the box office, it got lapped up by the audience when it was telecast on television.
