In the November month, director Rajkumar Hirani was dragged into the MeToo movement when a woman who worked with Hirani during Sanju accused him of sexual harassment on several occasions. However, the director clearly denied all the allegations while the woman said that she already told about it to Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the producer of Sanju.

Meanwhile, Hirani in a statement clearly denied all the allegation by stating them as 'malicious' and mischevious'. Now reports are coming that the producer of his next Munna Bhai 3, Vidhu Vinod Chopra has put the film on hold until there is no clarification on the allegations.

A source from the production house Fox Star India quoted Mid Day, "In a meeting in late December, it was decided that Fox would pull the plug on Munna Bhai 3 if Hirani was found guilty. The studio stands in solidarity with the survivor. VVC Films too has taken the matter seriously, and dropped Hirani's name from the promotional material of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. An ICC set up by VVC Films will investigate the matter. Munna Bhai 3, however, by default, is on hold till Hirani gets a clean chit."

This is to notice that recently, actor Arshad Warsi confirmed that Munna Bhai 3 will go on floors from this year only. While in the initial poster and promos of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga was also had Hirani's name but after those allegations makers dropped his name. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga stars Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Juhi Chawla and others in the leading role and the film is slated to release on 1st February 2019.
