Laxmmi Bomb: Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani starrer to release on Disney Plus Hotstar? Deets Inside
As coronavirus cases are increasing government is taking strict action to curb the outspread of the Coronavirus. PM Modi who has extended the lockdown till 3rd May, however, if the lockdown is lifted cinema halls are planning to keep it shut to ensure social distancing. Due to this reason, many film releases have been delayed and makers are planning to either wait for next year or to release it on OTT platforms.
Filmmakers are in talks with OTT platforms head, however, so far no one has come out to confirm the news. However, as per Mid-day reports Akshay Kumar’s film will be the first to release on OTT platform. Currently, Akshay and director Raghava Lawrence are in talks to procure the release right s of the films.

Confirming the news, tabloid added that the makers and the producers are discussing the offer. The film that is at the post-production stage has suffered a major loss due to lockdown as the film is still left with lots of work such as background music, editing, mixing and VFX. Since the team is working from the home, the process is taking longer than usual.

So the film that was scheduled to release in Eid i.e. 22nd May has been now shifted to June. As per tabloid, Sooryavanshi actor wants to make sure that none of the investors are at losses and is also making sure that it reaches to the vast audience through digital release. Since Disney+Hotstar ensures a worldwide reach, making the film available across small towns in India will be a concern for them.
