Kareena Kapoor Khan's income tax account hacked; false returns filed

An unidentified person had allegedly hacked Kareena Kapoor Khan's online income tax account and an FIR against the same has been filed by the Bollywood actor.

The cyber police station in BKC has registered the case and the inquiry is underway to identify and trace the accused.

A Hindustan Times report says said that an FIR was filed on behalf of the actor by her chartered accountant Prakash Thakkar. Sources revealed the FIR, which was filed on Friday by Thakkar, stated that someone used Kareena's pan card number and password to file her income tax returns on the government website.

The cyber police are trying to find out how the accused got access to all these details.

The HT reports also reads, "An FIR (CR No. 141/16) has been registered under section 419 (cheating by impersonation) of the Indian Penal Code read with 66 and 66 C of the Information Technology Act which deals with identity theft i.e. use of computer dishonestly, fraudulently and making use of electronic signature, password or any other unique identification feature of any other person."
