Kabir: Baahubali writer, Pahlaj Nihlani, Ajay Devgn to team up for film on Babri Masjid

Telugu film writer KV Vijayendra Prasad is all set to make his second Bollywood outing. The ace writer is currently working on a film named Kabir.

The film, which will be reportedly produced by Central Board of Film Certification chief Pahlaj Nihalani, is touted to be a political drama. The film reportedly revolves around the story of a middle-aged man's efforts to restore peace in a society that is reeling from the effects of the Babri Masjid demolition.

According to reports, Ajay Devgn will play the lead in the film. The actor, who is currently wrapping up work on his ambitious project, Shivaay, was reportedly impressed when Vijayendra Prasad narrated the story of Kabir to him.

Vijayendra Prasad is known to be a hitmaker. His debut Bollywood script, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, was Box Office blockbuster. The Salman Khan-starrer minted a whopping Rs 626 crores at the Box Office worldwide, to become one of the highest grossing films of all time. At a close second is Baahubali: The Beginning, which was also penned by Prasad.
