It's official: Varun Dhawan's Judwaa 2 to release on 29 September 2017

Sajid Nadiadwala has officially blocked the Gandhi Jayanti weekend i.e. 29 September 2017 for the release of David Dhawan's Judwaa 2 starring Varun Dhawan in lead.

The movie, which is a sequel to Salman Khan's 1997 super-hit film, will see Varun Dhawan in a double role for the first time in his career. The movie will benefit from the four-day extended weekend thanks to the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on Monday.

The script, as well as, the screenplay of Judwaa 2 has been locked and the film is all set to go on floors in January 2017. Like the prequel, this film will have two female leads and the producers are reportedly in talks with Shraddha Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez for the film.

Varun Dhawan in the past confirmed that there are plans to re-create songs like 'Tan Tana Tan' and 'Oochi Hai Building' from the original film.
