Is Salman Khan's Tubelight set against the backdrop of Sino-Indian war?

A few days back, Salman Khan confirmed that his next film, Tubelight, directed by Kabir Khan is a period drama. The Sultan star also confirmed that his real life brother, Sohail Khan will play his brother on-screen.

Now, according to media reports, the much awaited Eid 2017 release will be set against the backdrop of the Sino-Indian war that took place in 1962. The reports also state that despite revolving around a politically serious issue, the film will essentially be a human drama. The basic premise will revolve around the transformation of Salman's character.

The movie will go on floors on 20 July 2016 and Kabir Khan will explore virgin locations of Ladakh and Kashmir in the film. The star-cast of the film will be far from being a conventional one as Kabir Khan plans to rope in a Chinese actress alongside Salman.

The movie hits the big screen next Eid which falls in June 2017.
